After engaging in this discussion a bit, I have a new thought. When "toxic masculinity" is raised as a possibility, the response from some is often to talk about "toxic femininity", to try and even things out in the name of balance and reasonableness. And yet, the examples of "toxic femininity" are negative tropes about women that don't seem to parallel the things we're talking about in terms of "toxic masculinity". Rather, they seem more like "stuff some men imagine, and then dislike, about women". But asking "what's the counterpart to toxic masculinity, in women?" seems a fair question.
